FORMATION OF CALCIUM AMMONIUM AND CALCIUM PYROPHOSPHATES DURING THERMAL TREATMENT IN THE NH4H2PO4 – CAO SYSTEM
Phase transformations occurring during the heating of an NH4H2PO4 : CaO = 2 : 1 (molar ratio) mixture up to 800 °C were studied by thermogravimetric and X-ray diffraction analyses. The sequence of formation of calcium ammonium pyrophosphate, calcium dihydrogen pyrophosphate and calcium metaphosphate depending on the temperature range was established.
