Qualitative Analysis of Population in Gondia District (M.S.) 2001–2011 A Comprehensive Demographic and Quality of Life Assessment
Abstract The World Health Organization (WHO) defines Quality of Life (QOL) as an individual's perception of their position in life within the context of the culture and value systems in which they live, and in relation to their goals, expectations, standards, and concerns. This paper presents a qualitative demographic analysis of Gondia District, Maharashtra, evaluating structural shifts between 2001 and 2011. While rapid population growth generally exacerbates socio-economic issues such as poverty, malnutrition, and degraded standards of living, Gondia District displays a distinct trajectory. The decadal growth rate decelerated slightly from 10.50% to 10.14%, accompanied by progressive improvements across key quality indicators including literacy, educational attainment, occupational diversification, health facility density, and poverty alleviation.
