Nested Bubble Gears: Orientation Dynamics, Altermath History, and Recoverability
Nested Bubble Gears (NBG) treats complex systems as collections of bounded state domains coupled through structured relational regions called Altermath. This technical note extends NBG with orientation dynamics: a description of the direction in which a local domain evolves through its admissible state-space. The formalism distinguishes endpoint displacement from internal trajectory history and introduces candidate measures for orientation rate, acceleration, jerk, total variation, reorientation burden, trajectory coherence, boundary transmission, cross-scale propagation, and recoverability. A gear interaction is defined as a mediated state transformation through an Altermath relation. Three falsifiable hypotheses are proposed: an orientation–recoverability relation, an Altermath-history effect, and cross-scale disturbance containment. A minimal synthetic test program is specified so that the framework can be evaluated without importing biological or metaphysical assumptions. The note explicitly does not claim that NBG is a validated model of biology, cognition, spacetime, aging, consciousness, or longevity.
