Childhood cancer and future cardiometabolic health
Abstract Childhood cancer survivors face an elevated risk of cardiometabolic disease that can emerge years after treatment completion. This Review summarises the mechanisms underlying this vulnerability, the contribution of biological, social, and lifestyle factors across the life course, and emerging opportunities for early prevention and interventions to improve long-term cardiometabolic health.
