BRIDGING ANCIENT WISDOM AND MOLECULAR MEDICINE: CLINICAL APPLICATIONS OF CORE AYURVEDIC SIDDHANTAS IN CONTEMPORARY PATHOPHYSIOLOGY
Ayurveda, the ancient science of life, relies on foundational philosophical and clinical principles known as Siddhantas. While traditionally viewed through a purely historical or qualitative lens, these principles offer profound correlations with modern molecular biology, systems biology, and chronic disease pathogenesis. This article provides a critical analysis of four core Siddhantas—Lok-Purusha Samya Siddhanta (macrocosm-microcosm correspondence), Kriya Kala Siddhanta (six stages of pathogenesis), Agni Siddhanta (metabolic fire and enzymatic integrity), and Srotas Siddhanta (systemic channels and microcirculation). This translational synthesis aims to establish a rigorous scientific foundation for personalized, systems-oriented clinical practice.
