NBG-OR1-E1 v0.1.0: Relational Memory Under Endpoint Closure — Preregistered Synthetic Test Protocol
NBG-OR1-E1 v0.1.0 preregisters a synthetic dynamical-systems experiment designed to test whether terminal endpoint closure implies predictive closure when a coupling interface stores path-dependent relational state. The study compares a memoryless negative-control coupler against a stateful coupler containing a single preregistered relational-memory variable. Source trajectories are constructed to share the same terminal endpoint while differing in orientation history, excess orientation travel, and reorientation burden. A fixed compact trajectory-history descriptor is then tested for its ability to recover held-out predictive information about the relational state that is absent from terminal endpoint variables alone. The protocol freezes the orientation construction, trajectory metrics, endpoint tolerance, coupler equations, study grid, deterministic train/test split, prediction model, thresholds, and outcome classifications prior to study execution. Possible outcomes include FAIL_ENDPOINT_CLOSURE, FAIL_NEGATIVE_CONTROL, NO_HISTORY_EFFECT, HISTORY_EFFECT_ONLY, and COMPRESSED_HISTORY_RECOVERY. No study result is reported in this preregistration.
