Infantile sexuality and unconscious communication in the psychoanalytic situation
In this paper, I will try to clarify how the psychoanalytical perspective on infantile sexuality can be portrayed as an unconscious communication in the psychoanalytic situation. In Three Essays on the Theory of Sexuality, Freud (1905) lays the foundation for the sexual theory of psychoanalysis. Laplanche (2011) shows the importance of distinguishing between meeting the biological needs of the infant, a process that will lay the foundation for attachment, from the desires that arise when the infant’s needs are satisfied.
