Geographic Citation Insularity in Digital Humanities: A Bibliometric Analysis Using OpenAlex and The Index of DH Conferences
This paper addresses three research questions: (1) To what extent do DH scholars cite works from their own country? (2) How does observed citation insularity compare to a null model based on country-level publication shares? (3)How have these patterns changed over time (2007–2025)?
