Designing Biorefineries with Cards: A Gamified Approach to Teaching Circular Bioeconomy Concepts
This paper presents a card-based educational game designed to teach students and the general public how to conceptualize and design biorefineries using low cost or waste-based feedstocks. The game blends core principles of bioprocess engineering with strategic gameplay, enabling players to link processing units, transform materials, and score based on the value of outputs
