One-Pot Aryl C–H Lactonization with CO2 via C–H Borylation and ZnEt2-Promoted C–B Bond Carboxylation
Abstract A one-pot, two-step strategy has been developed for the synthesis of dibenzopyranones via aryl C–H lactonization of 2-arylphenols with CO2. This method combines BBr3-mediated C–H borylation with ZnEt2-promoted C–B bond carboxylation, enabling the efficient construction of lactone frameworks. The reaction exhibits excellent functional group tolerance and is amenable to gram-scale synthesis, providing a range of dibenzopyranone derivatives in moderate to high yields.
