Single vs Double Asteroids, DART Mission, and Space Trajectory Analysis Mapping
Since 1900s humans have believed in hypothetical binary asteroids with 16% of Near Earth Asteroids (NEAs) proposed to be binaries or 6,400 binary asteroids proposed since 1993. This research study is one of first to classify asteroids as single body systems and how light refraction angles-ecc similar to a 33min variance may not be sufficient to justify post-impact trajectory dV. This R&D would revise 600 asteroids identified and update <6,000+ binaries orbits, sizes, and estimates in databases. Study conducts radar, optical lightcurves analysis, time series analysis, Pixel data analysis, aberrations, and finds cloned asteroid data. ESA HERA $440M Mission was designed to investigate moonlet vs Didymos. This R&D Analysis may update $440m DART and HERA Mission, Software FSW, C&DH, TCM Orbits, to successfully image collect data of asteroids and extend Mission CONOPs applied to nearby asteroids objects. This research may significantly update 6,400+ asteroids in databases, telescope observation surveys, trajectory FSW, data analysis methods of pre-post impact orbits with new trajectories. This research could recover billions of dollars in operations and space missions to advance planetary science, defense, missions, and beyond.
