cdcatR: An R Package for Developing and Evaluating Cognitive Diagnosis Computerized Adaptive Tests

The cdcatR package, initially released on CRAN in 2020 and periodically updated to incorporate recent developments, provides functions for implementing and evaluating cognitive diagnostic computerized adaptive testing (CD-CAT) procedures. The package incorporates a variety of item selection strategies and stopping criteria. It also provides functions for generating item banks and response data under different cognitive diagnosis models. In addition, the package includes tools to support item bank calibration and model comparison at the item level. Overall, cdcatR provides a flexible framework for conducting CD-CAT research and evaluating its performance using either empirical or simulated data.
