THEORY OF OBJECTS. ARTICLE 26. PP/IT PROFILE: FORMAT FOR REPRESENTING TWO INDEPENDENT INDEXES. READING RULES, TWO-DIMENSIONAL LABELING, RANKING AND PUBLIC USE
This article completes the methodological trilogy of the series (Articles 24–26) and presents the format of the PP/IT profile, which is a way of presenting two independent indices of the theory of subjects: the density of subjects (PP) and the toxicity index (IT). PP is a metric of bioavailable beneficial molecules. IT is a metric of harmful molecules taken into account on a precautionary basis. Both indices are tied to the vector of product parameters: variety, origin, method of production, condition, freshness and storage conditions. The article substantiates the fundamental choice of the theory: the rejection of convolution of two indices into a single coefficient. The PP/IT notation is not a fraction or division, but a format for representing two independent numbers, similar to the 120/80 blood pressure record or the match score 3:2. No one divides 120 by 80. Both numbers have an independent meaning. The article operationalizes the rules for reading the profile, introduces two-dimensional color coding (four zones in the PP-IT space), describes the ranking of products in four quadrants, establishes the procedure for public use through labeling, digital applications and recommendations. Particular attention is paid to the limitations of the format: the profile does not cancel the individual context, does not take into account cumulative effects and does not replace clinical guidelines. The PP/IT profile is considered as a tool for informed choice, and not as a directive.
