Interdisciplinary Theorizing I Tell You Folks, It's Harder Than It Looks

Abstract Calls for interdisciplinary scholarship are ubiquitous, but what that means and why/how it is done are more often assumed than explained. Clarifying what it takes to theorize across disciplines, why it is important and how to set the conditions for success is the point of this essay. Authors, reviewers and readers should know what interdisciplinary theorizing is, and why/how to establish its value.
