Abstract: Marquée par un nouveau changement de Premier ministre et l'adoption laborieuse du budget, l'année 2025 confirme l'enlisement politique de la France. L'action gouvernementale est limitée par la fragmentation de l'Assemblée nationale, et la condamnation de Marine Le Pen ainsi que l'incarcération de Nicolas Sarkozy accentuent le discrédit des classes dirigeantes. Contesté en interne, Emmanuel Macron s'active sur la scène internationale (gestion des tensions avec les États-Unis, soutien réitéré à l'Ukraine, et reconnaissance de l'État de Palestine), tandis que la société française, confrontée à deux meurtres à caractère raciste et antimusulman, reste travaillée par des tensions durables autour des questions identitaires et religieuses. Government action was constrained by deep divisions in the Assemblée nationale, and Marine Le Pen's conviction as well as Nicolas Sarkozy's imprisonment further contributed to the discredit of the ruling class. Contested domestically, Emmanuel Macron remained active on the international stage (managing tensions with the United States, reaffirming support for Ukraine, and recognizing the State of Palestine), while French society, confronted with two racist and anti-Muslim murders, continued to experience tensions surrounding identity and religion.
