THEORY OF OBJECTS. ARTICLE 10. 8 META-COMPARTMENT: THE GLYMPHATIC SYSTEM. GLYMPHATIC SYSTEM AS NOCTURNAL BRAIN CLEARANCE: PP/IT PROFILE AND RECOVERY OF METABOLIC DIVERSITY IN PEOPLE 55+
The glymphatic system is the perivascular channels of the brain that are active primarily during sleep and provide clearance of beta-amyloid, tau protein, and metabolic products. After the age of 55, the effectiveness of glymphatic clearance decreases sharply: the number of detectable metabolites drops from ~500 to a critical threshold of less than 50, which is associated with the accumulation of neurotoxic proteins, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, cognitive decline, and sleep disturbance. However, no standard clinical analysis evaluates the glymphatic system. The article shows how the theory of objects allows you to measure the metabolic depletion of the glymphatic system, what diseases are associated with it, and how foods with a high PG/IT profile, including biogenic nutrition, restore metabolic diversity. The PG/IT profile is a format for representing two independent indices: the density of objects and the toxicity index (IT). The notation 175/3 means 175 beneficial molecular species and 3 harmful ones per 100 g of product — this is not a fraction, but two independent numbers side by side, like a blood pressure of 120/80. The profile is tied to the vector of product parameters: variety, origin, method of production, condition, freshness, and storage conditions. A monitoring protocol and practical recommendations for people 55+ are proposed.
