Physical Activity, Mental Health and Academic Performance among University Students

The importance of physical activity to the human being’s physical health is relatively well known, but this factor is significant in the field of psychology and helps researchers in understanding students' achievements. It is widely recognized that students who are entering the university face intensive studies, sedentary lifestyle, irregular routines, and high psychological stress level, which can influence their mental health. This study attempts to establish links between physical activity, mental health, and academic success. The aim of the study is to see whether there is a connection between physical activity and mental health condition of a university student. This study will use quantitative methodology helping researchers to consider physical activity, level of mental health, and academic success as key variables of the research. Data will be collected by means of a questionnaire and analyzed with the help of various statistical techniques. The purpose of this study is to better understand how physical activity affects students’ minds and academic performance. At the same time, this research will provide some important insights for various parties involved in fostering physical exercise or well-being of people (e.g. universities, governments etc.). The paper shows that exercise makes life better for students.
