Abstract Jai Nimbkar and Bharati Mukherjee both are Indian female writers. But Bharati Mukherjee is American writer of Indian origin. Jai Nimbkar was born in Pune and daughter of Dinesh Karwe and Irawati Karwe. She is feminist writer and wrote three novels in her life .Temporary Answer, A Joint Venture and Come Rain these are three novels which indicates women’s struggle, man-woman relationship. Her novel shows Women's position in patriarchal society. Bharati Mukherjee is Indian diasporic writer in the united states who was born in Calcutta but after some years she migrated to U. S. She has written eight novels and two collections of short stories such as ‘Darkness ’and ‘The Middleman and Other Stories’. Her earliest novels the Tiger's Daughter , Wife, Jasmine, Leave it to me, Desirable Daughters , Holder of The World , Miss New India and The Tree Bride these novels indicates cross cultural experiences , women's struggle and strength their own experiences through these novels from her experience as immigrant in the United States.
