Theoretical necessity of the Accelerating Universe
It is argued that Universe spacetime must be flat, but also, at the same time, space must be finite, homogeneous (on global scale) and isotropic. Thus, it is possible that there are light rays observed propagating along parallel trajectories in an expanding finite hypersphere. It is shown that this implies an accelerated expansion of the Universe. Considering the problem of energy conservation, the necessity of matter–antimatter asymmetry is also discussed.
