ASSESSMENT OF CHANGES IN THE AREA OF FOREST LANDS IN THE ULYANOVSK REGION

This article presents data on assessing changes in the forested land area of the Ulyanovsk Region. The assessment of forested land area changes was conducted using a desk-based approach. Forest stand characteristics were assessed, as well as lands not occupied by forest stands and requiring reforestation identified, both in the desk-based approach and through in-kind surveys, in accordance with a planned schedule.
