Abstract

Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) originated through experimental and clinical milestones in the mid-20th century, culminating in the first successful human procedures in the 1960s when this author had started his medical education. Authors brotherand author himself underwent CABG for triple block arteries in 2002 and August 2005 respectively in Delhi, hospitalized forabout a week and full recovery to back to work after a month. In the last decade multi-vessel bypass surgeries are simple throughmini-invasive techniques. Wounds heal faster and patients can get back to daily routines within a week. This author has witnessed Aortic, mitral, or tricuspid valve replacement or repair, Left atrial Myxoma excision and experiencedon self the Rotational atherectomy through a small incision.
