Blood pressure targets for hypertension in people with diabetes mellitus
OBJECTIVES: This is a protocol for a Cochrane review (intervention). The objectives are as follows: To determine if lower blood pressure (BP) targets (i.e. ≤ 130/85 mmHg), compared with standard BP targets (i.e. ≤ 140 to 160/90 to 100 mmHg) are associated with reduction in mortality and morbidity in people with elevated BP and diabetes mellitus.
