Mytho-Ethnography: A Recipe Transforming a Myth into a Tasty Ethnography

Mytho-ethnography is a methodology for the analysis of myths that centers on the interpretation of mythological content within its specific cultural context. It treats myths as ethnographic subjects and cultural archives through which communities preserve, transmit, and express narratives, belief systems, values, historical memories, and worldviews. The methodology involves a structured analysis of mythic content, symbolism, and narrative structures in relation to the culture from which they emerge, while engaging with comparative mythology, archaeology, history, and other relevant disciplines when available to illuminate broader cultural meanings and historical connections.
