Virchow controversy of an unexpressed triology (II)

This paper extends and conclues the work of an previous publication by the author which reported the elements that conflued to the triad, which summarizes the causes of venous thrombosis - vein wall changes, stasis, and hypercoagulability - attributed to Virchow. In the earlier paper a journey through the history of medicine, was present, with the contributions to an understanding that was being produced in this pathology, the venous thrombosis. This paper focuses exclusively on the domain. This Part 2 of the study aims to demonstrate that the authorship of the triad attributed to him does not belong to Virchow. This study, divided in two papers, analyses the items mentioned in Thrombose und embolie which have caused this misinterpretation, and in this Part 2, shows the theories by Virchow and different theories by others authors, contemporary or later, who have commented on that subject; until it is shown someone who, mistakenly, attributed to Virchow concepts he had never referred to. This study also shows that this professor of anatomopathology denied inflammation and the effect of stasis on the genesis of venous thrombosis, and never mentioned thrombophilia. This article demonstrates that it was not Virchow who mentioned the triad which is mistakenly attributed to him.
