CLINICAL AND ENDOSCOPIC EFFICACY OF LOCAL APPLICATION OF PHOTOACTIVATED PLATELET-RICH PLASMA IN THE COMPREHENSIVE TREATMENT OF GASTRIC ULCER DISEASE
Background. Contemporary treatment of gastric ulcer disease focuses on eliminating etiological factors, suppressing gastric acid secretion, and restoring mucosal integrity. However, delayed epithelialization of ulcer defects highlights the need to investigate additional methods for local stimulation of tissue repair. Platelet-rich plasma (PRP), particularly in combination with laser irradiation, represents a potential therapeutic approach. Objective. To evaluate the clinical and endoscopic efficacy of locally administered photoactivated platelet-rich plasma in the comprehensive treatment of gastric ulcer disease. Materials and Methods. A comparative analysis of treatment outcomes in patients with gastric ulcer disease is planned. In the intervention group, standard anti-ulcer therapy was supplemented with endoscopic administration of photoactivated PRP, followed by repeat laser irradiation after 48 hours. Patients in the comparison group received standard therapy. Treatment efficacy was assessed using changes in ulcer size, time to complete epithelialization, ulcer scarring rates, pain intensity, and the severity of dyspeptic symptoms. Results. Quantitative findings, between-group differences, and statistical significance will be reported after completion of the analysis of individual clinical records. Conclusion. Comparative evaluation of clinical and endoscopic outcomes will help determine the efficacy of the combined intervention and its potential role in the comprehensive treatment of gastric ulcer disease.
