Cover Feature: Near‐White Circularly Polarized Luminescence by Color Mixing Utilizing Surface‐Fluorophore‐Modified Cellulose Nanocrystals in Composite Films
The Cover Feature shows freestanding cellulose nanocrystal (CNC) films capable of near-white circular polarized luminescence (CPL) by color mixing. This was realized by incorporating equal portions of CNCs with covalently attached achiral fluorophores emitting red, green, and blue light (CNC-R, CNC-G, and CNC-B), respectively, into a helical, self-assembled CNC host matrix. More details are provided in the Research Article by T. Hegmann and co-workers (DOI: 10.1002/chem.71627).
