Fast Radio Bursts: An Observational Perspective
In this invited review presentation, I summarise the observational side of fast radio bursts (FRBs) as it stood at the end of March 2025 in a brief 30 + 10-minute format, focusing on the most important aspects. I gave the invited review talk in April 2025 at the Les Houches workshop at the École de physique des Houches in the French Alps, near Chamonix. This was done as part of the Feeling the pull and the pulse of relativistic magnetospheres conference, which brought together world experts in relativistic plasma astrophysics related to neutron star magnetospheres and black holes. The conference was a great success and very enjoyable. The location is extremely beautiful.
