Executive Version | Implementing Education and Engagement for Standardisation in Line with EU Values and Interests (Stand-EUVI): The Austrian Perspective

Core messageStandardisation education and engagement are enabling capacities for Europe’s competitiveness, innovation uptake, resilience and the green and digital transitions. Stand-EUVI – standardisation in line with EU values and interests – is the distinctive contribution of EDU4Standards.eu: it helps build the capacity to identify, analyse and address value and interest conflicts in concrete standardisation contexts.The Commission should support this agenda through enabling instruments while respecting Member State responsibility for education and institutional and university autonomy. The appropriate levers are not prescriptive curricula, but active promotion through guidance, targeted funding, Horizon Europe and successor R&I programmes, knowledge valorisation incentives, peerlearning, voluntary competence recognition, and support for national and institutional anchoring.
