Checklist of the superfamily Eviphidoidea (Parasitiformes: Mesostigmata) in Türkiye, with the first record of Onchodellus masani

This study provides a comprehensive overview of the superfamily Eviphidoidea (Acari: Mesostigmata) in Türkiye, with emphasis on its taxonomic composition and faunistic diversity. The superfamily is represented in Türkiye by four families and a total of 80 species-level taxa, including 77 identified and three unidentified species, indicating a considerable level of diversity in the region. The present study compiles previously published records and presents new faunistic data for 12 eviphidoid species, including the first record of Onchodellus masani (Pachylaelapidae) for the Turkish fauna, based on specimens collected from litter in Tunceli in 2017. These findings provide an updated assessment of the distribution and diversity of Eviphidoidea in Türkiye and contribute to the current knowledge of the group.
