Green and efficient selective synthesis of aldimines by using onion peel extract or Aloe vera gel extract as biocatalyst

Aldimines are important class of compounds which play important role in pharmaceutical and medicinally chemistry. An green, efficient and facile selective synthesis of imines (aldimines) by using onion peel extract (On-RH-23) or Aloe vera gel extract (AV-RS-23) as biocatalyst under microwave irradiation condition were developed. The synthesized aldimines (C1-10) were characterized and confirmed by Mass,1H-NMR spectroscopy technique. The reaction resulted in the exclusive aldimines formation with aldehydes, where as the acetophenone is failed to give the corresponding Imines in the present reaction condition. Furthermore, the superiority of the present method is proved by comparing present method with the conventional method where the reaction is taking place in 4–6 hr. The present condition is required only 1 min under microwave irradiation condition. The present method is proved to be a gateway for the selective synthesis of Aldimines under green and environmental begins conditions.
