Dialogue between an Eight-Year-Old Child and the President of the Italian Republic. A moral operetta on modern times

Abstract: This moral operetta explores the short-circuit between Abstract Law, embodied by high institutions, and the biological need for Order and Community, experienced by the most vulnerable citizens. Through a dialogue between an eight-year-old child and the Head of State, it analyzes the paralysis of an educational and social system that, in the name of extreme legal guarantees and unconditional inclusion, has abolished salvific punishment and eradicated the principle of authority. The child unmasks the hypocrisy of "re-educative dialogue" which protects pathogens (bullies, transgressors) while condemning healthy nodes to suffer. As a solution, he invokes the model of a community where teachers and parents, united, defend the relational network by applying rigor, responsibility, and immediate sanction, demonstrating that "rights" without the application of limits condemn the ecosystem to entropy.
