A. T. Thomas
A. T. Thomas (1951-1997), a Hazaribagh Jesuit, witnesses to Jesus through his social action among the Dalits of Hazaribagh. Like Jesus, focusing on liberation, he serves the marginalised communities. His martyrdom reveals liberation (aphesis) as the heart of Christian discipleship, making visible God’s saving presence among the poor and inspiring continued commitment to justice, equality, and the transformation of society.
