Functional and Perfusion Imaging of Pulmonary Vascular and Small-Airway Sequelae in Post-COVID-19 Condition: A Scoping Review

This is the registered protocol for a JBI-methodology scoping review mapping the extent, range, and nature of evidence on functional and perfusion pulmonary imaging (dual-energy CT, ventilation/perfusion SPECT/CT, hyperpolarized-gas MRI, dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI, and related techniques) of pulmonary vascular and small-airway sequelae in adults with post-COVID-19 condition, with particular attention to findings in patients with normal conventional chest CT, proposed mechanistic explanations for persistent symptoms, and adoption of post-2025 consensus terminology. The review follows PRISMA-ScR reporting guidelines and JBI scoping review methodology.
