This book could not be more timely. Immediately after Donald Trump won the presidency in 2024, the recriminations began. Democrats could not fathom how their compatriots voted for a convicted felon who attempted to stop the peaceful transfer of political power. How can these two groups possibly come to understand one another, let alone come to respect one another’s positions?
