Recent Updates in Surgical and Non‐Surgical Management of Peyronie's Disease: Implications for Modern Clinical Practice

ABSTRACT The management of Peyronie's Disease (PD) remains a clinical challenge to urologists due to its dynamic and heterogeneous nature, variable psychosocial burden, with wide‐ranging treatments, both non‐surgical and surgical. Recent advances in Peyronie's disease (PD) include refined classification systems like PTNM that help facilitate personalized treatment. While Penile Traction Therapy (PTT) is the mainstay for noninvasive treatment of PD, Collagenase clostridium histolyticum (CCH) therapy remains the main FDA‐approved non‐surgical option in the US, recently showing effectiveness even in acute phase, ventral, and calcified cases. Surgical techniques, including plication, grafting, and prostheses, are evolving with new minimally invasive methods demonstrating promise. Overall, progress in classification, therapies, and surgical options allows for more tailored and effective patient care.
