EXPRESS: Corticosteroid-responsive eosinophilic meningomyelitis associated with peripheral eosinophilia in a cat: a case report
A 12-year-old spayed female Bengal cat was presented with acute paraplegia. Magnetic resonance imaging identified intramedullary spinal cord lesions from T12 to L7 with mild meningeal enhancement. Cerebrospinal fluid analysis showed marked pleocytosis with a predominance of eosinophils. No evidence of infectious or neoplastic disease was identified. Complete blood count revealed moderate peripheral eosinophilia, which increased following corticosteroid discontinuation. The cat was treated with prednisolone, clindamycin, gabapentin, and physiotherapy, resultingin full functional neurological recovery.
