The Carbonate Raman Processing and Plotting Tool: A Software Application for 2‐Dimensional Raman Image Peak‐Fitting and Visualization
ABSTRACT We present the Carbonate Raman Processing and Plotting tool (CaRPP), designed to perform peak‐fitting and visualization on two‐dimensional Raman maps of calcium carbonate specimens. The CaRPP software enhances transparency and image‐processing capabilities specific to carbonates compared to existing alternatives. Although designed for visualizing peak width and wave number spatial patterns in the shells and skeletons of marine calcifying organisms, CaRPP has potential to be used for Raman spectra peak‐fitting and plotting on a wider range of sample types.
