Be wary of time blindness claims/accommodation requests

Two increasingly frequent time accommodation requests are reminders that Section 504 requires accommodation for disabilities, not euphemisms. Consider a student who is habitually five minutes late for the first morning class and seeks a so‐called tardy accommodation to allow the student to always arrive five minutes late without penalty. Consider another student who regularly fails to start or complete assignments before their due date sought an accommodation to submit all assignments a few days after their due date.
