Análisis del nivel de sonoridad de las principales cadenas de radio por TDT en España

Purpose: The overall objective of this study is to verify compliance with the European Broadcasting Union's EBU R-128 recommendation by selected broadcasters, by checking the noise level generated in the analyzed broadcasts. Methodology: This exploratory and descriptive study analyzes the digital terrestrial television (DTT) broadcasts of fifteen Spanish national radio stations (five generalist, five thematic, and five from the public broadcaster Radio Nacional de España), recording 125 sound samples on alternate days during July and August of 2025. Results: These results are derived from the analysis of the following aspects: Number of samples per station that meet the Integrated Loudness value according to the EBU R-128 recommendation; Average loudness by time slot and radio station type; Maximum and minimum loudness values per station; Total average loudness per station; and, Total average Integrated Loudness value by radio station type and resulting total average. Conclusions: According to the results obtained, it is observed that practically the entire sample does not comply with the aforementioned recommendation, showing a greater departure from it by the thematic chains, in this case of a musical type.
