Generic Realisation and Structural Essentiality; Constraints on Couplings between the Hereditarily Finite Universe and the Moonshine Module
Let (Vω, ∈) be the hereditarily finite universe and V♮ the Moonshine module, with Aut(V♮) = 𝕄. We establish four constraints on any structure coupling the two sorts, and one definition that separates the couplings worth having from the ones that are free. The freely generated extensional membership skeleton is isomorphic to (Vω, ∈), and its isomorphism type is independent of every carrier and of every embedding into a carrier. That skeleton is rigid, and rigidity forces any compatible group action to be vertical: the induced base action is trivial and every fibre is stable, so a non-trivial Monster action on a coupled structure cannot move membership identities. No injection sends the exact-rank-n layer of Vω into V♮n for all large n: the layers grow by iterated power sets while the weight multiplicities have Rademacher growth, so set-theoretic rank and conformal weight cannot coincide globally. The dilation this forces is realisable, by a minimal consecutive-shell construction with canonical shell boundaries. Ackermann coding, finally, yields a recoverable representation whose recovery uses grade labels alone, so recoverability by itself witnesses no Moonshine-specific relation. We therefore fix a uniform, parameter-free bridge schema and define essentiality as failure of one recovery mechanism to descend to a named reduct. The resulting hierarchy is graded — grading-, product-, integral-, and Monster-essential — and a coupling counts as Moonshine-essential only when the distinguishing carrier feature is membership-active, occurring in the invariant data that carry recovery rather than merely certifying that the carriers differ. No completed Moonshine-essential coupling is claimed.
