Interdependent Reproductive Systems
This article extends the theory of Reproductive Capacity to systems of interdependent factors. We distinguish contemporaneous reproductive interdependence from dynamic interdependence and show that the decomposition of individual Reproductive Capacity does not imply any structural separability of its mechanisms. An individual weakness necessarily constitutes neither an active constraint nor a systemic reproductive bottleneck. Two systems exhibiting the same individual Reproductive Capacities may thus differ according to their architectures of interdependence. The reproductive property of the system therefore also depends on the structure of interactions, without requiring either independence among factors or a universal scalar aggregator of their joint reproduction.
