DIAGNOSTIC SIGNIFICANCE OF TEAR-FLUID IMMUNOBIOCHEMICAL MARKERS IN DIFFERENT CLINICAL FORMS OF PEDIATRIC ALLERGIC CONJUNCTIVITIS

Allergic conjunctivitis in children may occur in acute or chronic forms and is accompanied by local changes in the ocular surface. Assessment of clinical symptoms remains an important component of diagnosis; however, objective laboratory indicators may provide additional information about the intensity and duration of the pathological process. In this context, tear fluid is of particular interest because it can be obtained directly from the ocular surface and may reflect local changes associated with allergic inflammation.
