Ilicicolins L–N, meroterpenoids from a deep-sea-derived fungus Stanjemonium dichromosporum NIMM80977
Chemical investigation of the bioactive organic extract of deep-sea-derived fungus Stanjemonium dichromosporum NIMM80977 resulted in the isolation of three undescribed ascochlorin-type meroterpenoids, ilicicolins L–N ( 1 – 3 ), together with twelve known related metabolites. Their structures were identified by extensive analyses of spectroscopic data, including calculated ECD data for configurational assignment. Ilicicolin B ( 4 ) exhibited considerable inhibition against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus , Enterococcus faecium and E. faecalis with MIC values of 6.25, 25, 25 μ M, respectively.
