Impulses and Reproductive Transformation
This article analyzes the reproductive fate of impulses added to a factor without being produced by its current reproductive mechanism. An impulse may compensate for a deficit and maintain the stock without transforming the conditions of reproduction. When a transmission mechanism exists, it may modify the reproductive configuration and produce a persistent effect after its withdrawal. The same stock transition may thus result from different combinations of the system's own reproduction and impulse and lead to distinct trajectories. Finally, we distinguish compensation, transformation, persistence, reproductive dependence, and autonomization, without assuming their necessary succession.
