THE IMPACT OF GAMIFICATION TECHNOLOGIES ON STUDENT MOTIVATION IN MUSIC EDUCATION

This study examines the impact of gamification technologies on student motivation in music education. Gamification involves the integration of game elements such as points, badges, levels, challenges, rewards, and immediate feedback into educational activities. Based on a review of relevant theoretical and empirical studies, the study explores the potential of gamification to increase students’ engagement, participation, and motivation in music learning. The findings indicate that appropriately designed gamification can create a more interactive and motivating learning environment. However, its effectiveness depends on pedagogical design, learner characteristics, and the balance between external rewards and meaningful learning. The study concludes that gamification can serve as an effective complementary strategy in contemporary music education.
