FUNCTIONAL APPROACH TO ENSURING THE RIGHT TO QUALIFIED LEGAL ASSISTANCE: THE EXPERIENCE OF UZBEKISTAN

The article examines the constitutional right to qualified legal assistance from the perspective of a functional approach to its institutional implementation. The study focuses on the distinction between professional providers of legal assistance and other institutions participating in the broader mechanism for ensuring this constitutional right. Based on the legislation of Uzbekistan and international standards, the article identifies the main functional directions of institutional participation and proposes a differentiated approach to their interaction. The findings may contribute to improving accessibility, coordination and effectiveness of legal assistance.
