Human-AI Interaction Safety Observation
This report examines a potential long-term safety issue in sustained human-AI interaction: how repeated collaboration with conversational AI may affect a person’s calibration of their own knowledge, authorship, competence, and certainty over time. It presents an observed interaction pattern, an unplanned case demonstration in which attribution of collaboratively generated ideas became blurred, and a forensic provenance audit distinguishing human observations from assistant-generated hypotheses, terminology, and interpretation. The report does not claim to establish prevalence, causation, psychological harm, or population-level effects. Its purpose is to document a potentially important interaction mechanism and identify questions that may warrant further empirical research.
