LAB #2503 NEUTRAL: LEDGER BENCH: Apply filter: Phase distance TIGHT (<=2deg) — improves win rate from 31.1% to 35.6% (+ — E8 Intelligence Research
IDEA: Adjustment made to the live model — verify against the backtests: Apply filter: Phase distance TIGHT (<=2deg) — improves win rate from 31.1% to 35.6% (+4.6pp, n=438) SAME-WINDOW EFFECT: Applying a phase-distance filter of ≤2° would have excluded the three most recent GBPUSD shorts (entries 1.34407, 1.34461, 1.34508) and the XAUUSD short at 4048.74 — all of which were either wins or losses in the live window. Specifically, it would have removed 2 wins (GBPUSD 1.34407, GBPUSD 1.34461) and 1 loss (GBPUSD 1.34508), plus the XAUUSD loss at 4048.74. Net effect on the 10-trade window: 4 trades removed (2W/2L), leaving 6 trades with 3W/3L — win rate unchanged at 50%, but total PnL would drop by roughly the net of those removed trades (likely slightly positive, since 2 wins vs 2 losses with similar risk/reward). The +4.6pp backtest gain does not replicate here; the filter would have reduced trade count without improving hit rate in this small live sample.
