Fat-sparing lower blepharoplasty for improvement of periorbital aesthetics

Objective. To analyze aesthetic outcomes of original fat-sparing lower blepharoplasty and patient satisfaction with postoperative results. Material and methods. There were 120 patients between March 2023 and July 2025. All ones underwent transconjunctival or open original fat-sparing lower blepharoplasty. Stability of aesthetic outcome and patient satisfaction were evaluated 12 months postoperatively. Results. Fat-sparing lower blepharoplasty provided stable aesthetic results after 12 months in all patients irrespective of surgical approach. The overall patient satisfaction rate was 94%. These findings support practical utility of original technique and unnecessity of traditional resection-based approach. Conclusion. Available experience and high patient satisfaction support widespread implementation of fat-sparing blepharoplasty. Close collaboration and continuity of care between plastic surgeon and ophthalmologist are advisable.
