Enhancing security in IoT consumer electronics through hybrid encryption and blockchain technology

Ensuring the safety of internet-connected Consumer Electronics has become a top priority in home automation industry due to the growing number of devices connected to the Internet and Consumer Electronics market. There are loopholes in wireless security that allow bad actors to access private data, compromise network security, and abuse sensitive information in IoT frameworks. This paper presents SHOA, a new encryption strategy that combines the Noekeon-based hybrid encryption approach with the RSA encryption methodology, to address these issues. The security of the system is strengthened using this dual encryption approach. Moreover, blockchain integration allows for safe distribution of encrypted data. In addition, this work introduces a modified B+-tree-based method that uses the Sea Horse Optimization Algorithm (SHOA), a portable query technique that is tuned for quick decryption of encrypted data, to get key value. By comparing the SHOA scheme to current approaches, it can be observed that the proposed method improves security of wirelessly linked IoT CE and reduces vulnerabilities; hence, it provides a durable solution to the security problems that plague IoT today.
